VETS Premiers 2025-26!!!

3 Grand Finals in a row, and our Over 50's VETS Team finally got the job done and won the VCV C Grade Premiership defeating Mitcham 6/170 who fell just short of the 184 target set by Blacky North after their 36 overs (8/183). This was a well deserved and celebrated victory for the old boys and was 6 years in the making after re-introducing a VETS team in 2020/21. This is the Clubs third VETS Premiership and first since the Over 40's in 2010-11.

The team was superbly led and captained by Anthony "Gorks" Uhr-Henry, a Club legend and Life Member, who led the Over 40's VETS to the Club's first VETS Premiership way back in 2009-10, a gap of 16 years! He is now a 2-time VETS Premiership Captain and is showing no signs of hanging up the bat anytime soon. Well done to Gorks and all the "old boys"! The mid-strength beer was flowing freely on Sunday night!
