SENIOR MENS
Blackburn North Cricket Club Inc. (BNCC) was established in 1948 and is affiliated within the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association (BHRDCA) and Veterans Cricket Victoria (VCV). The Club is well established with a long and proud history and recently celebrated its 75th Jubilee Year in 2023. The Club has two grounds located at Koonung Reserve, Heppner St, Blackburn North, including the main “Len Toogood Oval” and the West Oval.
BNCC welcomes senior men’s players (age 16 and above), supporters, and social members to the club. The club does not currently field teams in either Junior or Women’s competitions but would welcome any enquiries regarding establishment of teams within these competitions. BNCC fully embraces diversity and inclusion and believes in the spirit of good sportsmanship and behavior.
The Club's 1st XI plays in the Dorothy McIntosh Shield Grade and is looking to return to the top grade within the BHRDCA (Ray McIntosh Shield) in the next 2-3 seasons. The Club fields an additional three senior men’s teams along with an Over 50’s VETS team that play fortnightly on Sunday’s. Our 2nd XI B Grade Team have recently won back-back Premierships in C Grade. All teams play on synthetic wickets.
The four senior men’s teams are registered in the following grades for the 2024-25 Season. All grades play on Saturday afternoons and include 64 to 80 over two-day games along with One Day games. A maximum of 11-13 players are allowed in each Senior grade. The season commenced on Saturday 5th October.
